Empowering women through Fashion was held at the CH9 hub. The event opened with defining the word Empowerment by Hamra Alam the president of Lights Camera Fashion, celebrating its 5 years anniversary.
The seminar was set to help support young fashion entrepreneurs understand the importance of empowering one another as women and to be able to ask for help. Hamra further highlighted that the Fashion industry is the second richest industry in the world yet it is missing in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “Fashion is fun and inspiring and more than that, Fashion helps advancement and opens many job opportunities within the sectors of machinists, illustrators and pattern makers and businesses,” Hamra stated. She said the importance of having a Fashion week is crucial and we must create more Bahraini fashion designers to maintain culture and create more jobs within the fashion industry.
The event was held in CH9 who sponsored the event alongside with Cup of Art. “We believe that every woman has the right to be confident and self-sufficient, it is our responsibility to place them in a unique position to improve human and economic well-being” quoted Maryam Alsaegh.
