
With the participation of over 1,000 photographers from across the world, under the supervision of the Union of Arab Photographers, and within the 6th edition of the Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Arabian Horse Photography Award 2018, the city of El Jadida, Morocco, celebrated Bahraini photography. This came as part of the events the Flagship Horse Exhibition in its 11th edition, held at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Centre under the theme “Equestrian Sports in Morocco”. Photographer Mohammed Buhasan won the second prize for the theme of folklore and heritage events, while Journalist and Photographer Ali Alqumaish won fourth prize for his theme of Arabian horse beauty and movement. Mohamed Buhasan, second prize winner said: "My victory comes to enhance the photographic experience in Bahrain, and I appreciated the artistic and aesthetic value of HH Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Arabian Horse Award.”

He dedicated his award to His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain in recognition of his generous patronage of the arts in the Kingdom, which positively impacts youth to work hard and strive to elevate the Kingdom’s name in artistic and cultural forums in the Arab region and the world. For his part, Ali Alqumaish, the fourth prize winner expressed happiness at achieving this position: “The theme of Arabian horse beauty was immensely challenging, especially since highlighting these aesthetics requires anatomical knowledge of horses to bring out their beauty. The biggest challenge was learning to handle the Arabian horses, which are characterised by high sensitivity and a stubborn nature.”
