Alifiya Roshanali, a resident of Bahrain is making good use of her childhood memory of ‘crocheting.’ Having started her home-based venture ‘Aara's’ 2 years back, she knew she will one day bring it to good use and help the needy and underprivileged children. “Being new in this line in Bahrain and it being my first charity, I was a bit hesitant on how to start but by the support of my family, I took the next step.” She worked on and finalised 50 beanies (in different sizes i.e. from 0-6months to pre-teens). Then raised funds for this charity, making crochet soft toys and selling them. Through social media, she found out about the charity organization "A Box of Goodness." I contacted them and they reverted in positive, helping me to distribute the beanies to the underprivileged kids.” Alifiya plans to take on taking similar initiatives in the long run.
