The island is all set to enjoy a range of exciting programmes this Spring that shine the spotlight on cultural values and standing of people from all walks of life who have embraced Bahrain as their home. The Japan Film Festival returns after its successful run last year during the Spring of Culture Festival with four films that are being shown at the Bahrain National Museum on March 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 7pm. The first film, Sing My Life (Ayashii Kanojo) is a 2016 fantasy drama whose plot involves a woman in her seventies whose life and body are transported to that of a twenty-year-old girl, giving her the opportunity to make up for missing out on her earlier dreams of becoming a singer and enjoy her family and life. Next to the Cultural Hall, the Art Centre is also hosting Bahraini artist Marwa Al Khalifa’s latest solo exhibition Noor (Light), an introspective journey on the light that embodies our vessels through the various stages of life. The exhibition, which opened on March 3rd, will continue until the end of March.
