As the holy month of Ramadan descends onto the Kingdom, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, invites guests to embark on a month-long celebration like never before at the 5-star luxury beachfront resort. With a backdrop onto the Turquois Sea of the Arabian Gulf, the luxurious VIVA Masaya Pavilion will rise once again setting the traditions of the season with nightly iftar and ghabga buffet feasts amidst elegant décor designed by renowned designer and scenographer Ammar Basheir.

A time-honored tradition where we invite guests into an elegant setting and where traditional feasts by our award-winning chefs await” says General Manager Bernard de Villèle. Combining elements of traditional Islamic architecture with modern design, the expansive 40 x 40-meter pavilion will once again become a kingdom of opulence and grandeur as it takes its place amongst the resort’s Seaside Villas. Inside the octagon-shaped pavilion, guests will arrive at a grand seating area featuring elegant table settings and warm décor, while an intricate display of contemporary and Moroccan-style lamps light the way to sumptuous buffets.
As the sun descends each evening and the traditions of Ramadan begin, guests are welcomed in to join for iftar, from sunset to 8 p.m., for BHD 32, and ghabga from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m, for BHD 35. Guests may also book one of the Pergola seating areas for BHD 360 and enjoy silver service for up to eight guests. During the evening, guests will enjoy nightly entertainment while indulging in the splendors of a culinary journey through the resort’s award-winning restaurants. Delicious buffets will be set up with aromatic menus encompassing flavors of traditional Arabian cuisine, along with modern fare. Guests can choose from over 100 buffet items, and enjoy everything from live cooking and carving stations, fresh Egyptian and SAJ breads, hot and cold mezzeh stations, salads, mix grill, tagines, lamb ouzi, cuisine stations from Nirvana, Thai, Cantina Kahlo and Primavera to traditional Ramadan desserts, gourmet sweets, and the all-time favorite Turkish ice cream trolley. A traditional ghawa Arabic coffee station will also be set up at the entrance with dressed attendants welcoming guests to the festivities of the night.
