So it turns out, despite having over 40 million people own a PlayStation 4, the number tends to fall flat for the creators of the game console as ‘Sony’ plans to add more people into its database of customers, since technically there are around 7 billion people on the planet and a few more in the list wouldn’t hurt.
To make that happen, the Japanese hardware maker has not just one but two new versions of the PlayStation 4 in the works. They are the PlayStation 4 Slim and the PlayStation 4 “Neo.” According to reports, all your PlayStation 4 games, digital and disc, will continue to work on the Slim and the Neo as they are all part of the same “platform.”
“PlayStation 4 Neo is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” according to Sony’s head of PlayStation, Andrew House. It’s a more powerful version of the existing PlayStation 4 and is slightly different internally. Not really a gigantic jump in power, but it’s a notable lift as it has been reported to have the same main processor but slightly faster; it also has a a new graphics processor that’s far more capable than the current PS4’s graphics processor however it comes with the same amount of memory. We can safely say that you are okay to continue with your current game console but for those who have a little extra to spend, they probably will like to try these new toys on the block!
