Let’s start with: I am the wrong person to be working on this list. For someone who has been raised in a family of die-hard soccer fans, I never really developed a taste for the sport. Sure, being a lifelong wrestling fan, I’m not exactly in the best of positions to be questioning other people’s favorite past times, so I’m going to segue to the topic at hand.
Even though I’m not a soccer fan, I have seen, and on occasion enjoyed, many a film that tackled the sport. From serious dramas to whimsical comedies, there’s no shortage of movies that focus on the most popular sport in the world. So in honor of the ongoing Gulf Cup, here are a few that I think are worthy of your time.
